Town Green Inn to close doors and to be offered for lease.

Following a number of expressions of interest from national retailers and a strategic review of the  tenancy mix, the decision has been made to close the Town Green Inn at the end of trade this coming Saturday, 1st February.

The business operators (Taphouse Investments) have determined that an alternative use (non F&B) would best serve the mix of business operators, tourists and the local community in the precinct. This is a long term strategic decision to further the appeal of the Town Green precinct.

Importantly, all staff have been offered alternative employment within other company-owned hospitality businesses in Port Macquarie. The timing of the closure coincides with many of the business’ casual student employee’s returning to full time study and changes in their availability to work.

Taphouse Investments remains 100% committed to the Port Macquarie region, the 270 locals employed by the company, and the many local suppliers that provide produce and services. The owners are committed to further investment in Port Macquarie and further refurbishment of other group assets is planned for 2020.

Taphouse Investments and their employees wish to thank the many loyal supporters of Town Green Inn and look forward to welcoming them at other venues.
